Running a business shouldn’t feel harder than it needs to.
But when expectations are unclear, roles blur and important conversations keep getting delayed, even good businesses become heavy to run and overly dependent on the person at the top.
I’m Claudia Thompson, founder of The Business Fabrik. I work with small business owners who didn’t start a business to manage people, but now need their team to work properly.
My work is practical and direct. We look at what’s actually happening in the team, we name what isn’t working, get clear on decisions and handle the conversations that need to happen so things can move forward.
This isn’t about more meetings or endless talking. It’s about clarity, clear expectations and follow-through so the business runs better without constant micromanaging.
At its core, my work helps business owners step fully into the leadership role their business already requires and turn knowing what needs to change into action that actually sticks.
Over more than two decades working with and inside teams, I’ve seen the same pattern repeat.
When people know what they’re responsible for, what’s expected of them and how decisions are made, work flows and momentum builds.
When they don’t, even capable businesses feel chaotic and far harder to run than they should be.
The issue is rarely a lack of intelligence or effort, but unresolved decisions, unclear ownership and conversations that haven’t happened, leaving people to compensate instead of the business functioning properly.
That’s the gap my work addresses.
Who we are
The Business Fabrik exists to help small businesses work properly.
Not by adding more strategy, frameworks or good intentions, but by creating alignment between people, goals and the systems that support the work.
Our work focuses on:
translating intent into clear decisions and direction
putting structure in place so progress doesn’t rely on individual heroics
helping leaders take responsibility for the environment they create
We’re not interested in surface-level change or corporate theatre. We work with businesses that want to operate in a more human, grounded way, where clarity replaces friction and results come from alignment rather than pressure.

Our Vision
We’re working towards a world where people have more agency at work.
